About the job
- As part of your master's thesis, you will develop an extensive material model for Silicon Carbide (SiC) designed for thermomechanical simulations.
- You will initiate and execute thermomechanical Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations for laser material processing, which entails incorporating heat sources and material properties to forecast temperature distributions, residual stresses, and the likelihood of crack formation.
- Additionally, you will design, conduct, and analyze validation experiments to create reference data, including the assessment of residual stresses.
- Ultimately, you will compare and validate your simulation outcomes with experimental data to enhance your model's accuracy.
