Role overview
This freelance role centers on designing and validating material engineering challenges that mirror real-world workflows. Assignments require both subject matter expertise in material science and strong Python programming skills.
What you will do
- Create engineering problems that reflect practical scenarios in material science
- Develop tasks requiring Python for engineering calculations, simulations, and computational analysis
- Design problems involving numerical methods, iterative solutions, system design, optimization, and analysis
- Base challenges on real research questions or practical engineering issues
- Validate problem solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries
- Document problem statements clearly and provide accurate, verified answers
Requirements
- Degree in Material Science or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of professional experience (applied, research, or teaching)
- Proficient in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is valued
- Strong understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations
- Written English at C1 level or higher
- Interest in part-time, project-based work

Compensation
