  • Develop problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Create computationally intensive problems requiring numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Formulate problems focused on system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Base scenarios on actual research challenges or practical applications within engineering;
  • Validate solutions using Python alongside standard engineering libraries;
  • Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is well-suited for material scientists and engineers with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Material Science or a related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other domain-specific libraries may also be acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching;
  • An understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Strong written English skills (C1 or higher).
