About This Opportunity

Participants will engage in various project-specific tasks, which may include:

  • Formulating innovative materials engineering problems that mirror actual engineering workflows;
  • Crafting challenges that necessitate Python programming for solving engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Designing problems that are computationally demanding, requiring numerical methods or iterative approaches;
  • Creating tasks related to system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Grounding problems in genuine research challenges or practical engineering applications;
  • Validating solutions through Python using standard engineering libraries;
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified accurate answers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is ideal for materials scientists and engineers with Python experience, seeking part-time, non-permanent project engagements. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Material Science or a related discipline;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any programming language is also acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching backgrounds;
  • A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Exceptional written English skills (C1+).
