Job Overview
As the Materials Lead, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining daily materials operations. Your leadership will set a strong precedent for the team, ensuring that all activities related to receiving, material movement, and inventory management are executed with precision, safety, and timeliness. Collaborating closely with the Materials Supervisor, you will uphold inventory integrity, ensure process adherence, and champion continuous improvement initiatives across material workflows.
Responsibilities
Oversee the assignment of kits and track task completion to align with production schedules, ensuring materials are readily available.
Guide receiving operations, ensuring meticulous documentation, labeling, and system transactions.
Audit the movement of materials to ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability.
Provide training and mentorship to team members on standard procedures, safety protocols, and material handling techniques.
Conduct audits of receiving, inventory, and material flow processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to uphold accuracy and accountability.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory related to receiving, movement, or system transactions.
Collaborate with the Supervisor in planning and implementing continuous improvement strategies focused on materials, inventory accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
