Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Catia preferred) and experience with Structural FEA. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, with a preference for experience with ASME Y-14.5.Background in various design and testing areas including Composites, Thermal Design, Structural Analysis, Shock and Vibration analysis. Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Production Tooling, you will lead the charge in designing groundbreaking tooling, equipment, and processes for the manufacturing of our innovative eVTOL and eCTOL products.


Your role will require you to utilize your existing industry experience while also embracing new insights gained through research and experimentation. You will design, construct, and validate tooling and equipment to optimize our manufacturing operations.


Equipped with CAD modeling and tools for structural, thermal, and CFD analysis, you will ensure your designs comply with all safety and regulatory standards.


Your contributions will help us revolutionize electric aviation by:
  • Designing tools, jigs, fixtures, and machinery to facilitate manufacturing processes.
  • Creating solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, ergonomics, safety, and other key areas for improvement.
  • Reinventing manufacturing workflows to achieve optimal performance through advanced tooling and equipment.
  • Collaborating with the product design team to refine part and assembly designs for manufacturability, including datums and handling features.
  • Leading the ideation, creation, and development of processes.
  • Supporting the commissioning and validation of tooling and equipment.
  • Prototyping and testing innovative tooling concepts.
  • Fabricating and modifying parts as necessary, including machining and welding tasks.
  • Developing maintenance and troubleshooting documentation, including qualification and calibration procedures.
  • Staying informed about the latest advancements in the industry and leading manufacturing R&D initiatives.
