Role overview
This Mechanical Design Engineer role centers on designing and analyzing gas turbine engine components. Key responsibilities
- Design or modify aero-engine components by evaluating product specifications, performance requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead or contribute to mechanical design projects for gas turbine components, including structures and rotating parts such as frames, shafts, disks, blisks, seals, as well as airfoils like blades, vanes, and nozzles.
- Assess new design concepts, manufacturing methods, materials, or processes, and prepare necessary documentation in accordance with engineering principles and industry standards. This includes generating reports, procedures, and change proposals.
- Gather design and system requirements from customers and incorporate them into component designs.
- Support technical substantiation efforts and participate in technical and program reviews.
- Develop components and modules with attention to cost, performance, longevity, and compliance requirements.
