As a Mechanical Engineer at Water Works Engineers, your expertise will be vital in driving the success of our water, wastewater, and recycled water projects. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in the design and analysis of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Performing engineering calculations, including pump sizing, hydraulic modeling, thermal performance analysis, and air/gas system design.
- Producing technical documentation, such as mechanical plans, specifications, and design reports.
- Designing mechanical building systems, including HVAC, gas, plumbing, fire suppression, and air conveyance.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery.
- Reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings, and supporting field inspections to ensure compliance with design standards and codes.
- Integrating energy-efficient solutions into mechanical system planning and participating in permit application processes as necessary.
