Position Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and subassemblies for rotating machinery to meet customer requirements and performance targets, under the mentorship of a lead engineer.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings, conducting analyses such as tolerance accumulation, bearing load calculations, and preload assessments.
- Ensure that designs meet company standards and industry regulations, including GD&T and design-for-manufacturability principles.
- Act as a key technical contributor in design, manufacturing, and testing reviews, assessing designs for risks and suggesting remedial actions.
- Complete assigned tasks in accordance with approved budgets and project timelines.
- Review customer specifications and assist in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, test plans, process qualification documents, bills of materials, schedules, and engineering reports.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges affecting both existing products and new developments.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with colleagues and management regarding technical progress, challenges, and potential risks.
- Assist with testing and validation activities for both new and existing products, under the guidance of senior engineering personnel.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and support ongoing improvements in health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Be prepared for occasional domestic and international travel (typically once per quarter).
- Be available for extended or off-hour work during critical project phases if necessary.
