Key Responsibilities:Design mechanical systems and products that support ASM process chambers by applying sound engineering principles. Utilize data-driven design decisions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Lead hardware development from initial concept through testing and readiness for high-volume manufacturing. Create and manage 3D CAD models (using Creo) and 2D drawings incorporating Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Conduct engineering analyses including structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics evaluations. Maintain product configuration using contemporary Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Engage in design reviews and spearhead Design for Excellence (DFx) initiatives. Work closely with suppliers to address and resolve fabrication challenges.

As a key member of ASM’s Global Hardware Platform team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of semiconductor technology by designing mechanical hardware for our advanced process chambers. Your contributions will directly support applications in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Plasma Enhanced ALD (PE-ALD), and Epitaxy, paving the way for the next generation of memory chips and microprocessors. You will work in collaboration with R&D and engineering teams to transform innovative ideas into reality and drive them towards high-volume manufacturing.
