ABOUT THE POSITION
You will join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team, collaborating under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Projects may encompass new constructions and renovations in sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design HVAC systems, including ductwork and piping, for various building projects. For smaller or less complex projects, work independently; for intricate projects, collaborate under a licensed engineer's supervision. Assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
  • Calculate heating and cooling loads, and layout and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
  • Create Revit/BIM models for HVAC system construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases, including layout, sketches, and detailed drawings. Support Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as required.
  • Revise specifications associated with existing or new projects.
  • Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents.
  • Engage with clients and project team members by participating in Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings, considering project budgets.
  • Independently research to address emergent issues as needed.
  • Assist in gathering information to respond to RFIs and review change orders during the preparation of construction documents.
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, often requiring a physical walkthrough of the site.
  • May mentor and direct the activities of less experienced staff.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
