Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for server and rack hardware. Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and specifications utilizing CAD tools. Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers for seamless product integration (placement of PCBs, power supplies, cooling systems). Conduct thermal and structural analysis to ensure optimal system performance and reliability as needed. Support prototyping, testing, and validation of designs. Engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost efficiency. Identify and troubleshoot design issues throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally within electronics or server hardware. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar). Strong grasp of thermal management, materials, and manufacturing processes. Experience with sheet metal design, plastics, and/or machining is highly desirable. Familiarity with data center or server systems is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in working effectively within a cross-functional team setting. Preferred Qualifications:Direct experience in designing server, storage, or networking hardware. Expertise in thermal design and analysis.
