WHAT YOU WILL NEEDRequired: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; ABET-accredited program preferred. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. EIT/FE certification in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects. Proficient in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus) is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with a licensed engineer on various projects, ranging from new constructions to renovations across sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design uncomplicated piping systems and select equipment for HVAC systems under the supervision of a professional engineer. Assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
  • Conduct building load calculations using modeling software with guidance.
  • Generate energy models using relevant software, correcting parameters under supervision.
  • Create Revit/BIM models for HVAC construction drawings, covering schematic design through construction administration phases, including layouts and detailed drawings, with supervision. Contribute to plumbing and fire protection systems modeling as required.
  • Assist in editing specifications for ongoing and new projects.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documentation.
  • Conduct research as assigned and address emerging issues.
  • Draft reports for review by a professional engineer.
  • Help gather information in response to RFIs and in the review of change orders during construction documentation preparation.
  • Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, often requiring physical site walkthroughs.
  • Coordinate specific activities for particular project elements.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
