ABOUT THE ROLE
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with a licensed engineer on various projects, ranging from new constructions to renovations across sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design uncomplicated piping systems and select equipment for HVAC systems under the supervision of a professional engineer. Assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
- Conduct building load calculations using modeling software with guidance.
- Generate energy models using relevant software, correcting parameters under supervision.
- Create Revit/BIM models for HVAC construction drawings, covering schematic design through construction administration phases, including layouts and detailed drawings, with supervision. Contribute to plumbing and fire protection systems modeling as required.
- Assist in editing specifications for ongoing and new projects.
- Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documentation.
- Conduct research as assigned and address emerging issues.
- Draft reports for review by a professional engineer.
- Help gather information in response to RFIs and in the review of change orders during construction documentation preparation.
- Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, often requiring physical site walkthroughs.
- Coordinate specific activities for particular project elements.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
