Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX. Strong grasp of structural design principles, stress analysis, and mechanical systems. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS, Fusion Simulation, or Nastran. Ability to apply GD&T and mechanical tolerancing to production drawings. Familiarity with composite and metallic fabrication techniques. Understanding of fundamental concepts in mechanics and materials.

Role Overview: Mechanical Engineer – Recent Graduate

This role focuses on designing structural and mechanical systems that improve the performance and manufacturability of composite aircraft. Mechanical Engineers at Poseidon Aerospace work on CAD design, develop mechanisms, and conduct finite element analysis to create lightweight, reliable structures for both aerial and marine use.

What You Will Do

  • Design mechanical and structural components for unmanned aircraft using CAD tools
  • Develop mechanisms that support aircraft functionality and manufacturability
  • Apply finite element analysis to optimize structures for strength and weight
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, aerodynamics experts, and test teams
  • Participate in both analytical work and hands-on development of flight hardware
