Required Qualifications:• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.• Proven experience in designing boilers, turbines, pumps, or tanks.• Familiarity with the lifecycle of nuclear mechanical equipment.• Understanding of equipment interfaces and system integration.• Experience in contract management and document surveillance.• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.• Ability to manage deadlines and contractual commitments.• Strong experience in stakeholder and supplier coordination.• Proficiency in tracking risks, early warnings, and variations.

Join our team as a Mechanical Equipment Engineer in a dynamic hybrid role, requiring your regular presence near Bridgwater, with flexibility for candidates in suitable locations.

In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with the Contract Engineering Lead to ensure the successful technical delivery of major mechanical equipment contracts. Your expertise will guarantee supplier compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and technical standards while coordinating interfaces and configuration control throughout the contract execution process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical oversight for mechanical equipment contracts.
• Review supplier documentation against contractual technical referentials.
• Generate structured comment sheets and lead technical clarifications.
• Manage modifications, open points, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate configuration control, including CTS and design modifications.
• Oversee equipment manufacturing progress in alignment with site need dates.
• Lead contract technical, manufacturing, and progress meetings.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and non-conformities.
• Manage multidisciplinary interfaces, including piping and electrical aspects.
• Coordinate surveillance activities and maintain contract documentation control.
