Position Overview

As a Mechanical Project Manager in our Advanced Technologies division, you will oversee and coordinate projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and uphold the highest quality standards. You will lead the project team, steering the project from initial estimation to final completion, while ensuring compliance with company protocols. This role encompasses various mechanical piping projects, including plumbing, HVAC, and process piping.

Location: Chandler, AZ with expected travel to project sites in the greater Phoenix area.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Executive Management, Estimating, Field Operations, and key stakeholders to define project scope and develop an execution plan while prioritizing safety.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and enhance safety culture by identifying deficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Conduct pre-planning meetings and establish the project budget.
  • Create a detailed schedule for job cost control, labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Set project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review project progress regularly with the Executive Management Team from inception to completion.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with field staff.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing for equipment and material acquisitions.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of contracts; prepare quarterly cost-to-complete reports.
  • Prepare monthly invoices for submission to General Contractors or Owners.
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractor invoices.
  • Act as the representative for Murray Company in project meetings.
  • Assist in labor negotiations and strategy formulation.
  • Document and communicate any impending issues to management.
  • Assume Project Engineer responsibilities in their absence.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by corporate management.
