RequirementsDiploma, ITI, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the fabrication industry is essential. Proficiency in working with:Pressure VesselsHeat ExchangersPiping SystemsStructural FabricationThorough understanding of:ASME Section VIII & IXAPI StandardsAWS CodesExperience with various welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW. Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings accurately. Strong leadership and effective communication skills are vital.

Hudson Manpower is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for fabrication and manufacturing operations in Manama, Bahrain. This position focuses on overseeing the production of components such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural elements. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with leadership and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

What you will do

  • Supervise daily fabrication activities at both workshop and site locations.
  • Ensure all work follows approved engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee fit-up, welding, assembly, erection, and finishing to maintain quality standards.
  • Interpret P&ID, GA, and isometric drawings, as well as welding symbols.
  • Maintain compliance with ASME, API, and AWS industry standards.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and NDT readiness.
  • Monitor adherence to WPS/PQR procedures and keep welder qualifications current.
  • Plan and track daily and weekly production to meet project deadlines.
  • Identify possible delays and work with planning and project teams to resolve them.
  • Manage a team of welders, fitters, and helpers.
  • Make efficient use of tools, equipment, and materials to improve productivity.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, including regular toolbox talks.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, QA/QC, stores, and project teams.
  • Report progress and any issues to management in a timely manner.
