Founded in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from visionary investors, including Sam Altman, Mithril, and SoftBank. Our latest prototype, Trenta, has achieved remarkable milestones, including 10,000 high-power pulses and plasma temperatures reaching 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now advancing with Polaris, our next prototype, on the journey towards operationalizing fusion energy.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative team. You will engage with real-world challenges and contribute to our mission, embracing values of urgency, rigor, ownership, and transparency—essential for achieving unprecedented goals in energy production.

Your Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to fully understand the design intent for parts, assemblies, and subsystems.
  • Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems while working in partnership with the procurement team.
  • Assist in the product ramp-up from initial introduction to high-volume production.
  • Establish technical and quality specifications for suppliers based on engineering and program needs.
  • Implement and oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with selected suppliers to facilitate rapid production.
  • Ensure suppliers are well-informed on requirements for documentation submissions, including first article inspection reports and quality documentation.
  • Develop and authorize process controls for critical characteristics.
  • Propose technical enhancements to minimize risks and potential defects.
