BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. A minimum of 1 year of experience in analyzing, designing, building, or testing mechanical systems (experience through internships or competitive teams is acceptable). PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Hands-on experience in hardware development with a passion for creating real-world solutions. Proven track record of rapid growth and taking on increasing responsibilities within an organization, with a history of achieving significant accomplishments early in your career. Proficiency in high-end CAD software packages (e.g., NX, CATIA, SolidWorks). Experience in designing and validating large metallic structures and mechanisms. Strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with design considerations such as manufacturability, testing design, weld joint specifications, corrosion resistance, and inspection protocols.

STARSHIP MECHANISMS ENGINEER

As a Mechanisms Engineer at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in advancing the reusability of our launch vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in simplifying mechanical systems, enhancing their reliability, and streamlining manufacturing processes. You will design, analyze, and validate mechanical systems and actuators for both Starship and Super Heavy vehicles, focusing on applications such as propellant delivery, control surface actuation, and Raptor thrust vector control. Your innovative contributions will not only improve existing systems but will also help define the next generation of space exploration technology.
