Job Summary We are searching for a skilled and passionate Laser Phototherapy Technician to join our dermatology division. This role involves providing laser phototherapy treatments to patients in various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment, preparing patients for treatment, and monitoring their condition during and after treatments, all while adhering to stringent safety protocols. Responsibilities Conduct initial patient assessments to evaluate their suitability for laser phototherapy treatments across multiple healthcare venues. Prepare patients for treatment, including the application of numbing agents and protective eyewear. Operate laser equipment to administer treatments as directed by dermatologists, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Monitor patients throughout and after treatments, documenting any adverse reactions or side effects. Maintain laser equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition. Keep accurate patient records and treatment logs. Educate and counsel patients on laser phototherapy treatments and aftercare. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across various facilities to ensure the best patient care. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. Healthcare certification as a Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is necessary. Familiarity with basic medical terminology and procedures. Knowledge of laser equipment and its operation is preferred, but not mandatory.
