Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:Design, manufacture, and test packaging for flight avionics, electronics, and electro-mechanical actuators. Design, manufacture, analyze, and integrate the launch vehicle harness routing and secondary structures, ensuring these systems are structurally capable of withstanding vehicle load cases. Create detailed CAD models and drawings. Conduct thermal, structural, and tolerance analyses for electro-mechanical assemblies using both hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA). Perform failure analysis of components concerning thermal, loads, vibration, and shock. Collaborate with machine shops and production teams to integrate best manufacturing practices and produce hardware essential for qualification and flight. Manage the hardware delivery timeline and ensure successful outcomes through inception, design, assembly, testing, and integration. Lead design reviews, both internally and externally. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce costs to meet launch targets. Qualifications:B. S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.3+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design and analysis.

Job Overview

The avionics system serves as the foundation for highly reusable, operable, and dependable space systems. As a Mid-Senior Avionics Mechanical Engineer in our dynamic start-up environment, you will be tasked with developing innovative mechanical solutions for component packaging and integration of flight avionics hardware within the launch vehicle. Collaborating closely with avionics development, structural, and production teams, you will design and implement these solutions while continuously seeking improvements. You will explore cutting-edge solutions to complex challenges and contribute to establishing company standards for avionics development. This role requires a focus on agility, self-direction, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
