Qualifications & Requirements:Dynamic individual capable of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven interest and understanding of the humanitarian and non-profit sector, especially in relation to current events in the Middle East. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A commitment of 20-40 hours weekly; Monday to Friday with a flexible schedule (full-time preference). Professional experience is strongly preferred. Proficiency in computer applications and excellent internet research skills. Arabic language proficiency is a plus.

Position Summary

As a Middle East Program Intern at Relief International, you will work closely with the Senior Regional Grants Officer. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the editing of reports and proposals, crafting program summaries, and performing various programmatic and administrative tasks assigned by your supervisor.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Edit and contribute to the writing of reports, proposals, and other program materials for Relief International's initiatives in the Middle East.
  • Review grant files and actively support file organization, particularly for projects closed in 2017 and 2018.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Grants Officer to facilitate the review of grant documents with the global Grants and Contracts Unit (GCU).
  • Conduct research relevant to program sectors and regional contexts.
  • Assist the Regional Program Officer in outreach efforts to academic institutions focused on disability inclusion research.
  • Support various administrative tasks as needed.
