The Mission Control Specialist position is based in Dallas, Texas and is part of Aurora’s remote operations team. This role centers on monitoring vehicle fleets, coordinating with remote assistants, and managing escalations for complex operational needs such as vehicle pairing.
Schedule
Both day and night shifts are available. Weekend coverage is required.
What you will do
- Monitor weather, traffic, construction, and unexpected events along vehicle routes, taking action to address issues as they arise.
- Serve as a technical resource for all remote operations activities.
- Respond to and resolve trigger requests from autonomous vehicles when Remote Assistants are not available.
- Send remote commands to autonomous vehicles for on-road and closed-course trials, maintaining safety as the top priority.
- Log real-time feedback on vehicle autonomy and platform performance.
