Key Responsibilities:Oversee operations, execution, and expectations for the Mechanical Engineering Discipline related to Mission Critical projects. Plan mechanical engineering projects and manage team members to ensure successful execution aligned with profitability objectives. Delegate responsibilities and projects to team members, maintaining a balanced workload to drive profit and revenue growth. Organize, lead, and document meetings with staff and clients concerning overall operations. Collaborate with sector and practice leadership on personnel functions including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Support business development efforts through participation in the RFP process, project interviews, and engagement with community or industry organizations to enhance the DLR Group brand. Promote industry-leading workplace practices to cultivate a positive organizational culture. Develop mechanical designs from inception through to the completion of construction, including engineering design calculations, reports, and coordination of mechanical requirements. Conduct quality control reviews of mechanical engineering plans and specifications. Direct or coordinate activities involving personnel, vendors, and consultants.

Position Overview

As the Mission Critical Mechanical Design Leader, you will spearhead the design of mechanical systems for buildings within the Mission Critical sector. You will lead a dynamic mechanical engineering team to create high-quality construction documents utilizing Revit, while effectively managing project schedules to ensure on-time delivery. Collaborating closely with various disciplines, you will contribute to the development of highly integrated building designs.
