Role Overview
As a Mission Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging our innovative engineering and product teams with military partners as we execute our contracts. If you possess a talent for cultivating strong, trust-based relationships, translating intricate operational requirements into actionable product and program strategies, and thrive in high-responsibility, customer-facing roles, then you may be the perfect fit for our team. Your Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with customers to identify their unique challenges and act as their representative while working with the Rune engineering team to guide product development.
Engage cross-functionally with engineering, product, business development, and executive teams to ensure cohesive efforts towards customer success.
Embrace the dynamic nature of the Mission Manager role, demonstrating a proactive approach to understanding customer issues and the technical solutions available.
Assist in the deployment of Rune software for testing, evaluation, and operational applications at government facilities and military installations.
Facilitate training sessions to guarantee that Rune’s products align with user requirements and effectively enhance customer operations.
Identify pertinent datasets through thorough engagement with customer workflows and collaborate with Rune engineers to enhance data integration.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee navigational watches to ensure the safe and efficient navigation of the vessel across diverse maritime environments, while also conducting mission testing and facilitating the operation of state-of-the-art autonomous systems.Your key responsibilities will include the safe navigation of the vessel during operational testing and contributing to the overall mission execution as directed by the Captain.Responsibilities:Ensure the safe navigation of the vessel during transit to operational testing sites.Stand a navigational watch while integrating autonomous systems into operations.Assist in the overall management of vessel operations as instructed by the Captain.Support the execution of mission objectives on board.Required Qualifications:Possess a valid U.S. Coast Guard license, with a minimum of National 500/1600T Mate Upon Oceans; Unlimited Mate’s License preferred.Completion of STCW Basic Training, GMDSS Operator, OICNW, and FCC License.Valid TWIC, USCG STCW Medical Certificate, and passport required.Proficient in maritime navigation systems.Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.Must be capable of standing a 12-hour navigational watch.Successful completion of a background check and USCG/DOT drug testing is mandatory.Security clearance eligibility is preferred for access to restricted or government sites.
