Job Summary

We are in search of a skilled Mission Operations Engineer – Technical Instructor to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of advanced training programs that support our autonomous systems mission objectives. This multifaceted role combines curriculum design, operational training, and direct engineering support, ensuring mission readiness for internal teams, contracted customers, and Department of Defense partners.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for creating and delivering hands-on training initiatives that cover mission planning, Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) operations, system troubleshooting, and maintenance protocols. Your contributions will also include enhancing team readiness, developing ongoing professional development initiatives, establishing performance standards, and ensuring operational personnel are fully equipped to manage and support Saronic ASVs.

Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Instruction

• Conduct instructor-led training sessions for internal operators and external clients on system operations, troubleshooting techniques, and mission workflows.

• Facilitate practical labs, simulations, and mission exercises in classroom, lab, and field settings.

• Act as the main point of contact for trainee learning, ensuring understanding, engagement, and operational preparedness.

• Assess trainee performance, administer evaluations, and provide constructive feedback and remediation strategies.

• Lead certification processes, operator evaluations, and mission rehearsals.

Curriculum & Content Development

• Transform real-world mission operations and engineering workflows into structured, scalable training frameworks.

• Create and maintain training documentation, including lesson plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), labs, simulations, and assessments.

• Continuously enhance curriculum based on field insights, trainee outcomes, and product updates.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Mission Operations teams to ensure training is aligned with current system capabilities and industry best practices.

Customer Training & Enablement

• Oversee customer onboarding and training delivery, ensuring the smooth integration of Saronic systems.
