Role Overview
The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor leads a team delivering maintenance services across multiple sites in London. This role blends hands-on technical work with team coordination, setting high standards for performance, efficiency, and service quality. Daily tasks include overseeing operations, optimizing schedules, supporting engineers, and ensuring work consistently meets rigorous standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Manager by supervising and guiding a team of mobile maintenance engineers.
- Handle hands-on repairs and tackle complex technical issues directly.
- Use CMMS and scheduling tools to manage and refine daily work plans.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the main escalation point for technical problems and client concerns.
- Track team performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Carry out regular audits of work quality, reporting, and vehicle upkeep.
- Reassign workloads and routes quickly when emergencies arise.
- Keep accurate job records and reports within the system.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a mobile or field-based team.
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS and scheduling platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
- Clear communicator, particularly when handling client escalations.
- Proactive, with a "lead from the front" mindset and high personal standards.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in the field.
