THE ROLE
As a Technical Architect for our Testbed Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing a robust automation platform capable of scaling from hundreds to thousands of intricate environments. Your role will involve integrating hardware and software, facilitating a transformation from reactive manual interventions to proactive self-healing orchestration. Working closely with Engineering Leadership, you will act as the technical guide for the team, ensuring that our infrastructure is resilient enough to support future product innovations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Orchestration Architecture: Design and oversee the development of an integrated orchestration layer that manages state, scheduling, and resource allocation across our entire physical and virtual fleet.
Infrastructure Reliability: Identify and eliminate systemic bottlenecks, such as resource contention and distributed locking issues, to ensure 99.9% availability of provisioning workflows for our global engineering teams.
Technical Roadmap Leadership: Define and implement the long-term strategy for hardware lifecycle management, ensuring our automation stack integrates seamlessly with next-generation hardware and evolving operating systems.
Cross-Functional Standardization: Collaborate with SRE and Product teams to establish company-wide standards for environment requests, thereby reducing time-to-test and streamlining processes.
