Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). At least 5 years of proven experience in business development or B2B sales, preferably within the rugs, textiles, or home décor sectors. A strong professional network within the interior design, retail, and/or furniture industries is highly desirable. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools. Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Self-starter with a results-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.

Job Summary 

The Business Development Manager will spearhead efforts in identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving substantial revenue growth. This pivotal role demands a robust understanding of B2B sales, market analysis, and client relationship management, preferably within the home furnishings or textiles sector.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Formulate and implement a detailed business development strategy aimed at boosting sales and expanding market share.
  • Identify and engage new clients (including retailers, distributors, furniture stores, and online marketplaces) in key markets.
  • Lead negotiations and finalize contracts that meet company pricing and profitability objectives.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and cultivate partnerships.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to pinpoint emerging trends, new customer segments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure offerings align with market demands and client feedback.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and CRM system to efficiently track leads, proposals, and follow-ups.
  • Deliver regular performance reports and insights to senior management on business development metrics and forecasts.
  • Support digital marketing and e-commerce initiatives for market expansion, where applicable.
