CGS Federal is on the lookout for a skilled Network Engineer to be an integral part of a dedicated team that is responsible for assessing, upgrading, and managing a comprehensive network project. This project involves both wired and wireless network infrastructures alongside associated hardware and software components. The primary goal is to review the current structure of existing networks and to design and implement a cohesive network infrastructure that addresses the requirements for wireless, wired, and software connectivity. Additionally, the role will involve consulting on the necessary hardware and software to ensure proper support for this extensive infrastructure, as well as conducting systems testing, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance during the implementation phase.
The successful candidate will engage with state and local governmental personnel, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors who will provide essential development services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure;
- Enhance infrastructure monitoring and reporting via deployment of network management software;
- Create, maintain, and present documentation related to network infrastructure within the NPS environment;
- Review best practices and offer recommendations for architecture, design, management, and operational aspects of the network infrastructure;
- Oversee the administration of the Cloudpath (or equivalent) onboarding process, ensuring wireless network health through monitoring and troubleshooting, along with maintenance of wireless infrastructure and implementation of security patches and software/firmware updates, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 PST;
- Evaluate NPS network infrastructure for optimization opportunities;
- Define and execute testing procedures for new infrastructure integrations.
