About the job
Join doublezero as a Network Engineer, where your expertise in CCIE-level routing and switching will play a pivotal role in our innovative approach to networks as software systems. This position transcends traditional NOC roles, calling for a professional who is as skilled in writing production code as they are in designing complex network architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain large-scale, high-availability, low-latency networks to support our global infrastructure.
Engage with advanced networking technologies including BGP, EVPN, MPLS, segment routing, and carrier-grade routing architectures.
Develop automation frameworks using Go and Python for efficient network configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
Collaborate closely with hardware, protocol, and systems engineers to enhance network performance in terms of latency, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve real-world production network issues across both physical and virtual environments.
Qualifications
CCIE certification or equivalent hands-on experience in routing and switching.
Extensive experience in ISP, carrier, or backbone network environments.
Proficiency in production-level Go and Python programming (beyond simple scripting).
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, convergence, and network failure modes.
Experience with infrastructure as code and treating systems as software.
Preference for candidates with a background in telecom, ISP, or infrastructure over high-frequency trading.
