Network Engineer III – TS/SCI Clearance

100% On-site - Springfield, VA

We are seeking a talented Network Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN), and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. This position involves engaging in new project requirements alongside the operation and sustainment of existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Network Engineering and support new project requirements while maintaining existing infrastructure.
  • Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of diverse WAN/LAN environments across various platforms and technologies.
  • Contribute to the research and implementation of enterprise-wide network solutions to meet customer objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network media and components.
  • Evaluate network health and performance, including hardware and management software.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for network capabilities and technologies.
  • Assist in developing and executing test plans for network configuration upgrades, ensuring customer approval prior to implementation.
  • Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to meet performance and availability standards.
  • Assess and report on emerging communication technologies to enhance the network’s capacity and reliability.
  • Recommend necessary changes and technology upgrades to align with performance standards and industry best practices.
  • Adhere to all customer network security processes, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Represent customer needs in technical discussions with other government agencies.
  • Conduct site surveys for new installations and technology refreshes.
