About the job
At SpaceX, we envision a future where humanity explores the cosmos, and we are dedicated to making that vision a reality. We are pioneering groundbreaking technologies to enable human life on Mars and beyond.
ENTRY-LEVEL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, STARLINK
Starlink is on a mission to deliver high-speed, reliable internet access to underserved populations worldwide. Our innovative approach involves designing, building, launching, and operating the largest constellation of satellites, creating a global internet network unrestricted by conventional ground infrastructure. We also manufacture high-quality consumer hardware that allows users to connect to our satellites almost immediately, along with advanced gateways deployed regionally around the globe. The foundation of SpaceX’s success lies in our commitment to keeping engineering and production in-house, fostering rapid feedback, swift decision-making, and timely deliveries. With millions of daily users already benefiting from our services, Starlink is truly revolutionizing connectivity for those who have been previously unconnected.
The Starlink facility in Bastrop, Texas, is our newest and fastest-growing site. Spanning nearly 2 million square feet, this state-of-the-art manufacturing plant is responsible for developing and producing all terrestrial components for Starlink, including customer-facing devices like Starlink dishes and Wi-Fi routers. Our diverse user base includes educators in remote Amazon regions, researchers in Antarctica, RV-traveling digital nomads, emergency responders, commercial airlines, cruise lines, and residents in rural and developing areas. The Bastrop site is also home to next-generation ground stations and core manufacturing processes such as printed circuit board, solar cell, and silicon packaging production, allowing us complete control over our product lifecycle and enabling rapid continuous improvement.
We are looking to hire exceptional engineering talent for various electrical teams at the new graduate level:
- Board Level Design – Develop and verify highly reliable electronics for gateways and customer products that communicate with our satellites.
- RF & Antenna – Design, fabricate, and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends for next-generation phased arrays, gateways, and consumer wireless products.
- Process – Implement advanced manufacturing processes across PCB fabrication, silicon packaging, solar cell processing, and more, driving innovation in our production capabilities.
