About the job
At Fuse, we are dedicated to pioneering the transition to fusion energy. Our flagship innovation, TITAN, is an Impedance Matched Marx Generator (IMG) that stands as the most efficient and powerful machine in its category. Our team, known as Fusers, has successfully developed and licensed groundbreaking pulsed power generators such as Magical Unicorn and FAETON I.
As part of a dynamic and innovative fusion startup, you will wear multiple hats and take initiative in your role, contributing to objectives that aim to change the world. This is not just another job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a mission-driven team committed to making a significant impact.
We are currently on the lookout for a Nuclear Engineer with specialized knowledge in particle transportation, Monte Carlo simulations, and radiation shielding to bolster our fusion facility operations. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in neutron and gamma detection, data analysis, and experience in radiation testing environments. Familiarity with combined neutron and gamma radiation environments, particularly those encountered in fusion applications, will be a distinct advantage.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing radiation models, optimizing shielding solutions, and ensuring safety protocols within a high-energy fusion context. Collaborating closely with physicists, engineers, and regulatory teams, you will enhance radiation transport simulations, improve detector performance, and ensure measurement accuracy.
