Key Responsibilities:Utilize Monte Carlo simulations (e.g., MCNP, Geant4, FLUKA) for particle transport, shielding, and dose assessment within our fusion facility. Design and refine radiation shielding for environments featuring mixed neutron and gamma radiation. Conduct experimental validations of neutron and gamma detection systems. Perform radiation transport analyses to enhance system safety and performance. Develop and uphold radiation test environments to facilitate detector calibration and materials testing. Assist in meteorological assessments regarding radiation dispersion and environmental safety. Analyze radiation data for operational safety, shielding efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to advance fusion technologies and radiation safety initiatives.

We are currently on the lookout for a Nuclear Engineer with specialized knowledge in particle transportation, Monte Carlo simulations, and radiation shielding to bolster our fusion facility operations. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in neutron and gamma detection, data analysis, and experience in radiation testing environments. Familiarity with combined neutron and gamma radiation environments, particularly those encountered in fusion applications, will be a distinct advantage.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing radiation models, optimizing shielding solutions, and ensuring safety protocols within a high-energy fusion context. Collaborating closely with physicists, engineers, and regulatory teams, you will enhance radiation transport simulations, improve detector performance, and ensure measurement accuracy.
