Position Status: Temporary Part-Time Term Ends: September 20, 2027 Location: Colonel Belcher, Complex Continuing Care (1st Floor) BW Hours: 46.80 FTE:  0.60 Shift: Evenings Shift Times: 1515-2145 Union: AUPE Aux Nursing Rate of Pay: $20.77 - $26.02 PCN: CBSPNA030

The Opportunity
 
Position Summary:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will play a vital role in our interprofessional healthcare team, providing ongoing client care. You will observe, monitor, and report on changes in client status, ensuring effective communication with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
 
Your responsibilities include accurately administering prescribed medications in accordance with Carewest’s policies and maintaining professional and ethical standards at all times. Additional related duties may be required.
 
Program Summary: 
Our Complex Mental Health Care program delivers comprehensive support for adults facing complex behaviors, primarily due to mental illness, dementia, or other cognitive disorders.
 
Qualifications & Experience: 
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory, alongside completion of an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and effectively communicating in English is essential.
