At gopuff, we are seeking dynamic Operations Associates (OAs) to enhance our operations team. Reporting directly to a Site Leader, OAs are pivotal to our mission, embodying drive, perseverance, positivity, and a passion for overcoming challenges. Your role will encompass various operational tasks, including picking, packing, and receiving products within our facility and associated kitchen (if applicable), while collaborating with our partner drivers.
Gopuff is your go-to service for everyday essentials, available day or night, rain or shine. We are building a team of innovative thinkers, dreamers, and risk-takers poised to revolutionize the retail landscape faster than ever before. A love for snacks is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick and pack items for delivery to customers
- Receive and unpack pallets from vendors, ensuring inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Oversee inventory management and the re-shelving of canceled orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and facility
- Manage waste and prevent spoilage by adhering to FIFO practices
- Communicate with customers regarding substitute or out-of-stock items
- Safely handle, scan, and move products in an organized manner
- Engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, pushing, and bending during shifts
- Utilize equipment like carts, pallet jacks, and dollies for product movement
- Handle products that may include tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol
- Work in freezer sections as needed throughout your shifts
- Walk multiple flights of stairs as part of your daily duties
- Prepare quality beverages and food menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in restaurant or retail environments preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including peak times (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts)
- Basic knowledge of web-based applications (e.g., Google G-Suite)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capacity to lift up to 49 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
