The Role
As our Operations Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining and advancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the continuous availability and reliability of our services. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of email and privacy enthusiasts, providing support to our users and helping cultivate a secure, stable, and scalable environment.
Your responsibilities will include ongoing monitoring, optimization, and identifying potential abuse within our systems. You will play a crucial role in our operations team, working alongside individuals who share your passion for email privacy.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance, upgrades, and expansions of our infrastructure.
- Monitor email traffic, detect abuse, and develop both immediate and long-term solutions.
- Ensure the seamless operation of our systems and address bugs as they arise.
- Support the maintenance and upgrade of our network infrastructure, including mapping, troubleshooting, and preventative measures.
- Manage and maintain our webmail, calendar, and contact services.
- Collaborate with external partners, including data centers, hardware vendors, network providers, and anti-abuse/spam list operators.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.
