Role overview
As an Optical Engineer - Freelance AI Specialist, the main responsibility is to create and document original optical problems inspired by real research workflows. These problems will often require advanced computational methods and deep reasoning across physics disciplines.
What you will do
- Develop original optical problems that reflect authentic physics research processes
- Create computationally intensive challenges beyond manual calculation
- Design tasks involving advanced concepts in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
- Formulate problems based on real-world research or practical applications in optics and physics
- Document clear problem statements and provide validated solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
- Strong background in numerical simulation methods
- Ability to design problems that mirror genuine research workflows
- Creative problem-solving skills across several areas of physics
- Familiarity with modeling and approximation techniques in physics
- Excellent written English at C1 level or above
