QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated experience as an Oracle DBA, with a profound understanding of Oracle database architecture, processes, and performance tuning. Familiarity with Oracle 19c and associated tools and technologies. Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery techniques, and disaster recovery planning. Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL scripting. Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently or collaboratively. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders and documentation of processes.

POSITION: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
DESCRIPTION: We are on the lookout for a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to enhance our dynamic team. The Oracle DBA will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in database management, adeptly overseeing the entire database lifecycle which includes installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing monitoring of Oracle databases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
  • Conduct database tuning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Manage database security by establishing and maintaining roles, privileges, and user accounts.
  • Execute regular database backups and recovery operations to uphold data integrity and availability.
  • Formulate and uphold database disaster recovery strategies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure database modifications meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage database storage, ensuring efficient utilization and forecasting future capacity needs.
  • Maintain compliance with database-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform database patching and updates to ensure security and functionality.
  • Provide support for database-related issues, including after-hours assistance as required.
