Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesMonitor real-time telemetry and spacecraft subsystem health, quickly identifying and addressing anomalies. Plan and execute spacecraft maneuvers, including station-keeping and orbital adjustments. Coordinate ground station passes, command uplink, and data downlink schedules. Assist in launch campaigns and in-orbit testing for new satellites. Develop, validate, and maintain operational procedures and command sequences. Collaborate with spacecraft engineering teams to define concepts of operations (CONOPS), fault management strategies, and spacecraft procedures. Support the deployment and testing of ground software updates and infrastructure enhancements. Plan and execute operational readiness activities, such as simulations and dress rehearsals. Participate in an on-call rotation to meet 24/7 mission requirements. Ideal QualificationsExperience in satellite mission operations, spacecraft control, or a related field. Strong understanding of spacecraft systems and their interactions. Familiarity with mission control software (e.g., COSMOS, EPOCH, InControl, Intermission or similar). Proficient in programming and scripting languages (Python, FlightJAS, C++ preferred). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

As an Orbit Operations Engineer, you will take charge of the daily operations of our spacecraft while also developing the operational frameworks that ensure seamless functionality. This role comes with significant ownership within a small, collaborative mission operations team. Your influence will extend beyond mere execution; you will craft, enhance, and help define our operational procedures.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring spacecraft health, diagnosing anomalies, planning maneuvers, and coordinating ground station communications. Furthermore, you will create and improve the tools, scripts, and processes that facilitate the effective running of our expanding fleet. As our constellation evolves, you will play a pivotal role in shaping operational strategies, updating mission requirements, and fostering continuous improvement across our satellite and ground operations.
