Education: A High School Diploma is required. An Associate Degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or a related field is preferred, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair is required. Some electronic experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Prior exposure to crane operations is advantageous but not essential. Other Requirements: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Candidates must be willing to work at heights and have the ability to work varied overtime as required by customer needs. Availability for on-call service as part of the rotation and willingness to travel or work out of town occasionally are also required. Candidates must be capable of frequently lifting up to 25 lbs, lifting up to 50 lbs daily, and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.

As part of our team, you will work as service technicians, ensuring safety and efficiency in our operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting 480 3-phase motors, diagnosing crane challenges, and collaborating with clients across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.
  • Participate in on-call service rotations, including after-hours support when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues on-site, ensuring top performance and safety.
  • Conduct post-repair audits to verify that all safety features are fully operational.
  • Document findings and suggest corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.
  • Engage with customers to discuss repair and safety issues, providing recommendations for improving material handling operations.
  • Create electronic documentation using company tools and secure customer approvals.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and standards (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
  • Complete service reports and necessary documentation timely and accurately.
  • Maintain communication with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator in line with established protocols.
  • Ensure that company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Utilize tools and equipment responsibly, reporting any deficiencies to your supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including those set by customers.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and engage in additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
