About the job
As the Packaging and Shipping Area Supervisor, you will take charge of the daily operations in the packaging and shipping area, overseeing operational processes, material flow, information systems, and inventory management of frozen materials.
In this leadership role, you will manage frontline employees, including scheduling, enforcing workplace discipline, ensuring safety compliance, and conducting performance evaluations. Your aim will be to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety operations, work efficiency, inventory accuracy, customer complaints, and internal waste reduction.
You will work on enhancing process efficiency, eliminating waste, and advocating for the implementation of a continuous improvement suggestion system. Regular monitoring of daily KPI achievements in the packaging and shipping area will be expected.
Collaboration with departments like planning and sales will be crucial for addressing special issues and improving site BPS maturity. Additionally, you will be responsible for training employees in operational skills and facilitating their professional development. Management of third-party employees will also fall under your scope, including performance assessments and improvements. You will develop medium to long-term resource plans for the shipping area, which will involve budgeting, handling complaints, and controlling costs within planned parameters.
