With our unique expertise and partnerships, such as with Arc’teryx, we are set to launch the MO/GO—the first commercially viable wearable robotic device, alongside a platform for future Movewear innovations that will transform lives globally.THE ROLE:We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Soft Goods Designer eager to tackle unprecedented design challenges in a product category that’s just beginning to take shape. You will spearhead the design and development of garments that seamlessly integrate with the MO/GO, starting with a technical pant designed for optimal compatibility with our wearable robotic device. This role is not merely about fashion; it’s a functional systems design endeavor where the garment is intrinsic to the product. Collaborating closely with mechanical and human factors engineers, you will ensure that fabric, fit, and device function harmoniously.Your responsibilities will include:Leading the design and technical development of the MO/GO integration pant from concept to production, encompassing pattern making, material selection, fit iteration, and factory handoff.Defining functional garment requirements in collaboration with mechanical, firmware, and human factors teams—covering aspects such as attachment points, range of motion, load paths, and sensor placement.Selecting and qualifying advanced fabrics and materials suitable for performance bottoms, including stretch wovens, knits, softshells, and innovative materials that enhance user experience.Rapidly building and iterating physical prototypes; conducting fit sessions with internal and external testers, and integrating feedback into design updates.Managing the entire development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
