Why Your Role is Crucial: As a Mechanical Engineer at Water Works Engineers, your expertise will be vital in driving the success of our water, wastewater, and recycled water projects. Collaborating closely with project teams, you will design and implement essential mechanical systems, ensuring that our solutions are safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include: Assisting in the design and analysis of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure. Performing engineering calculations, including pump sizing, hydraulic modeling, thermal performance analysis, and air/gas system design. Producing technical documentation, such as mechanical plans, specifications, and design reports. Designing mechanical building systems, including HVAC, gas, plumbing, fire suppression, and air conveyance. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery. Reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings, and supporting field inspections to ensure compliance with design standards and codes. Integrating energy-efficient solutions into mechanical system planning and participating in permit application processes as necessary.
