Your work will encompass a wide range of projects, including the rehabilitation and construction of runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities, roadways, NAVAIDS, fueling facilities, and security enhancements, providing you with numerous challenging opportunities. In this role, you will supervise construction operations at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, various general aviation airports across Minnesota, and other commercial airports serving commercial airlines. You will ensure that daily construction activities align with project plans and specifications. Collaborating closely with contractors and airport/airline representatives, you will address construction challenges and conduct inspections to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget with minimal change orders. On-site, you will act as an advisor throughout the construction process, attending pre-construction and progress meetings, providing ongoing technical and safety oversight, preparing and delivering status reports, negotiating change orders, and assisting in the resolution of construction and design issues. You will also determine material specifications, coordinate testing, conduct surveys, measure quantities for payment, document observations with photographs, and guide construction inspectors. Additionally, you will contribute to proposal development, estimate project budgets and timelines, and perform constructability reviews of project plans while in the office.
