Key Responsibilities:Oversee food production, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Conduct essential checks, including refrigeration, chemical concentrations, and temperature monitoring. Communicate kitchen protocols to chefs regarding hygiene practices, including glove usage, hairnets, hand washing, and equipment sanitation. Ensure all products in coolers and freezers are correctly labeled with chef names, product names, and dates. Perform daily compliance inspections and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with Kitchen Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to resolve food safety and quality issues. Prepare the facility for inspections by local regulators or third-party auditors. Maintain walk-in coolers and refrigerators at optimal temperatures (41°F or lower). Conduct weekly thermometer calibrations for chefs and the Food Safety team. Assist with training for chefs and staff on food safety and sanitation. Carry out facility and departmental audits. Gather and share data on cooler performance and sanitary transport with operations and facilities teams.
