Become a Part-Time Math Instructor at Princeton AoPS Academy!

Your Role:
- Deliver Dynamic Lessons: Utilize our specially designed curriculum for advanced learners to lead small math classes that captivate and motivate students.
- Foster Student Engagement: Involve students actively in their learning processes through discussion and interactive activities.
- Manage Classroom Effectively: Skillfully oversee classes of up to 16 students.
- Assess and Provide Constructive Feedback: Evaluate student performance and offer insights on their progress.
- Build Meaningful Connections: Engage with students and their families to make a lasting impact on their educational experience.
- Encourage a Passion for Learning: Instill a love for mathematics and a spirit of inquiry in your students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a STEM or education-related field.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of mathematical concepts.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring students is essential.
- Classroom experience at the K-12 level is strongly preferred.
Note: A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
Availability:
- Classes are held in the evenings and on weekends, so candidates must be available to teach during after-school hours (starting as early as 4 PM) and/or on weekends.
- Initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Each course is conducted once a week for a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Location:
This is an in-person role at our Princeton, NJ campus. Candidates should reside in Princeton or the surrounding area and be able to commute to our location.
Compensation and Benefits:
