Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Scottsdale, AZ team. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm MST, and flexibility for opening and closing shifts is essential.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $23 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter electronic, faxed, and verbal patient prescriptions into our pharmacy software.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage through phone and online resources.
  • Initiate and submit prior authorizations to insurance plans promptly via designated portals.
  • Troubleshoot prior authorization submissions and prescription processing issues with healthcare providers.
  • Possess a solid understanding of ICD-10 codes and prescription medications, ensuring all relevant medical documentation is complete before authorization submission.
  • Communicate effectively with prescriber offices and insurance companies to coordinate care.
