We are currently seeking a Part-Time Payroll Specialist to become an essential part of our HR/People Team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the payroll process, dedicating 15-20 hours per week to ensure its seamless execution. The ideal candidate is an experienced payroll professional with a deep understanding of Paylocity.
Flexible Work Environment
While we support remote work across the contingent United States, we are in the process of expanding our capabilities to accommodate all states. Our hybrid work model allows for flexibility with fully remote, in-office, or mixed schedules.
Please Note: We currently cannot accommodate work from the following states: California (CA), Massachusetts (MA).
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Ownership: Manage the entire payroll process to guarantee timely and accurate transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.
- Data Management: Keep the employee database up to date with salary and pay information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Reporting & Audits: Prepare and maintain precise payroll records within our HRIS and facilitate regular audits.
- Collaboration: Address and resolve any employee inquiries or issues related to payroll or paycheck discrepancies.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in payroll-related audits and special projects as needed.

We are looking for a meticulous payroll expert who can quickly adapt to our systems and processes, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and integrity in payroll management.
