About the job
Everfield is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to lead financial operations within our embedded finance sector. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the financial integrity of our payment-enabled companies while serving as the internal expert to facilitate the seamless transition of new acquisitions into our profitable payment business models.
Primary Responsibilities
Group Reporting: Manage the consolidated closing process, ensuring accurate representation of the distinctive aspects of payment revenues, including merchant fees, settlement cycles, and payment terminal revenues within our group-wide financial reporting.
Facilitate the collection of non-financial metrics that influence the performance of Everfield's embedded finance functions (GMV, merchant attachment rates), collaborating with business intelligence and payments teams to enhance management reporting across the finance value chain.
Strategic Support: Work alongside Portfolio Managing Directors and finance business partners to elucidate the unit economics of their payment products, empowering them to make informed decisions on pricing and distribution. Collaborate on developing lending and leasing models for payment and POS hardware.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with FP&A finance business partners and business unit leaders to create and maintain budgets and forecasts for Everfield's embedded payments, including revenue models for payment terminals.
Payments Unit Economics and P&L Ownership: Lead the design and reporting of 'take-rate' models for portfolio companies that integrate embedded payments, ensuring accurate transaction flow translations into revenue recognition and margin reporting.
Post-Acquisition Integration: Take charge of the financial onboarding process when Everfield acquires a business, mapping their legacy billing systems into a cohesive payments-enabled framework.
Collaborate with strategic finance partners to advance Everfield's embedded payments initiatives.
